Owatonna Middle School REACH MENTORSHIP
Relationships. Education. Accountability. Character. Hard Work.
Friendship That Goes Further
The Owatonna REACH program brings the power of mentorship directly into the classroom, giving students an additional friend, a trusted role model, and someone in their corner. Through Big Brothers Big Sisters, students are thoughtfully matched with local business professionals who share their interests, passions, and personalities.
Every mentor is thoroughly screened, interviewed, and supported by BBBS staff to help build safe, meaningful relationships. Mentors and students meet at school during REACH class for 30 minutes, twice per month, creating space for connection, communication, personal growth, and fun!
"Listening to Bigs and Littles talk through challenges at school and working through the barriers together demonstrate the importance of mentoring. Having a mentor for the REACH students is impactful and the students really look forward to seeing their Bigs."
